About Us

Established over 40 years ago, Craft Fibreglass Composites began manufacturing a small range of fibreglass components from a factory at Drummoyne in Sydney’s Inner West.

Originally set up to manufacture small watercraft, it has been transformed into one of Australia’s leading manufactures of industrial fibreglass products for the transport, defence and infrastructure sectors.

In 1991 Craft Fibreglass was one the first companies within the fibreglass / composite industry to attain quality accreditation and this has since been upgraded to IS09001:2016 certification.

Always at the forefront of innovation. In 2000 Craft Fibreglass Composites acquired the closed cavity bag moulding (CCBM) technology which has since become a standard production method throughout the composites industry.

James (Ankur) Patel

General Manager

James Patel is a qualified civil engineer (BE, Honours) with an MBA and extensive experience in project and operations management. As General Manager of Craft Fibreglass, he provides strategic leadership to drive growth and innovation across the company. Committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, James leads with a hands-on approach that ensures Craft Fibreglass consistently meets and exceeds industry standards.

David Love

Operations Manager

David has been an integral part of Craft Fibreglass since 1987, bringing more than 35 years of experience in reinforced plastics and composite manufacturing. A qualified industrial engineer, he earned his degree from Newcastle University in 1998. David’s blend of technical expertise, practical insight, and long-standing commitment to quality has been key to Craft Fibreglass’s continued success and reputation for excellence in the industry.

Mark Todd

Production Manager

Mark brings over 30 years of specialised experience in composite manufacturing and boat building. A qualified boat builder, he oversees all aspects of production, quality assurance, and information technology. Mark is deeply passionate about his craft and is renowned for his exceptional attention to detail, setting the benchmark for quality and workmanship across the factory. His commitment to excellence ensures every project meets the highest standards.

Joanne Pearce

Accounts Manager

With over 40 years of experience in banking, finance, and business management, Joanne brings extensive expertise to our team. She has successfully managed her own business, overseen financial operations for charitable and manufacturing organisations, and earned a reputation for reliability, integrity, and precision. As our Accounts Manager, Joanne applies her deep financial knowledge and meticulous attention to detail to support seamless business operations.


